Mother/Daughter Tea & Fashion Show

The ASYMCA will be sponsoring their annual Mother Daughter Tea &
Fashion Show on March 16, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the ASYMCA. Mothers
and daughters of all ages are welcome. Tickets are $10.00 for adults
and $5.00 for children under 10. Scrumptious sandwiches, cakes,
cookies, fruit, etc. will be served. Goody bags will be given
to everyone and there will be lots of door prizes. Please
come and share some quality time with your mom or child. LIMITED

Healthy Kids' Day -

The ASYMCA is sponsoring their annual Healthy Kid’s Day fair
on April 12, 2008 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the ASYMCA building
on Jackson St. next to the Thrift Shop. Come join us for this FREE
event, featuring Dr. Waddle “The SNAKE MAN”, firemen
with the safety smoke house, crime prevention doing fingerprinting,
canine demonstration, Karoake, Castle bouncer, basketball, tye-dying
(bring a white t-shirt), face painting, bubble making, Put-put,
baseball throw, etc. Concession stand will be open for lunch. FREE
PRIZES!!!
Soldier's Golf Tournament -

This event provides Junior Enlisted Soldiers with a day of golf,
food and fun at no cost to the soldier. In addition, the event provides
the community with the opportunity to meet the soldiers who serve.
Kids' Olympics - top
Each summer the ASYMCA sponsors a “Kids’ Olympics”.
This program teaches the children and parents the importance of
sportsmanship, health and fitness. Every child receives a T-shirt
and participation medal, along with other medals they may win in
each of the 10 events. Battalion support is always great for this
event.
Young Readers Essay Contest

The ASYMCA Essay Contest is seeking students who can write about
Why My Military Mom/Dad is My Hero
for its annual contest. Contest is open to students in grades 1
– 12. All entries must have official entry form found on our
national website: www.asymca.org.
Deadline for entering is March 14, 2008. Contact Lynne Grates

ASYMCA Art Contest - top
The ASYMCA Art Contest is seeking drawings from students depicting
their military family. Contest is open to students in Kindergarten
– 6th grade. All drawings must be in color on a 6 by 8 inch
template found on our national website: www.asymca.org.
Entry form from the website must also be included. Deadling for
entering is February 15, 2008. Contact Lynne Grates at 436-0500
